Experts@Minnesota is a searchable database listing over 130 University experts with work connected to the achievement gap.

The College of Education and Human Development’s Vision 2020 blog shares stories of research and researchers working to improve educational equity.

Some ongoing research in the College of Education and Human Development includes:

  • Check & Connect – studying increasing student engagement in school, reducing dropouts, and increasing completions.
  • The Institute of Child Development has many research labs exploring executive function development, how children handle stress, risk and resilience, language and numeracy development, and related topics.
  • Educational Psychology faculty researchers explore equity in assessments and effective interventions for students with disabilities
  • Research centers in Family Social Science and Social Work examine out of school factors influencing child development

Generation Next fellows are working in interdisciplinary teams to identify the structural roots of gap in the Twin Cities.

New Research to Practice Briefs provide school leaders with research-based principles on topics related to closing gaps and preparing students for postsecondary success, such as all day kindergarten and English language learners.
